In 2019, while discussing her decision to keep the kids out of the spotlight and social media, Gellar told Cafe Mom, "My husband and I both have careers in the public eye, but my kids haven't chosen this for themselves. They haven't chosen to have their lives put out there, to be judged, to have comments by people they've never met over just a snippet. The best way for us to deal with that was to just keep our private life private."
It's for this reason that Charlotte, who already has her sights set on becoming an actress like her mom, isn't allowed to pursue acting until she turns 18. Gellar told The Hollywood Reporter, "We have rules in place. She can’t be in front of a camera until she graduates high school. She says to me, ‘That’s unfair. You were a child actor.’ Yes, I was. But I was not the child of two famous parents.”
Until then, we'll be on the lookout for more rare snaps of SMG and the family.
