One month ago, royal fans poured out messages of encouragement and support when Kate Middleton announced the completion of her chemotherapy treatments in an emotional video. Even loved ones and relatives took to the comments to celebrate her progress, including her brother James, who wrote, "I couldn’t be more proud." And now, Sarah Ferguson is praising the princess for her bravery.

During her recent appearance on This Morning this week, the 64-year-old duchess opened up about Middleton's touching health update, which featured footage of her husband, Prince William, and their three kids, George (11), Princess Charlotte (9), and Prince Louis (6). She said, "The video that the princess did was just incredible. I was so moved. It was beautiful."

When Ferguson was asked about Middleton's progress following the big announcement, 42, Ferguson said, “She’s showing the world what it really is to look after yourself and self-love in order to help others, and I think that’s extraordinary, what she did.”

In case you missed it, the video shows Middleton and her family spending quality time together outdoors. It even includes a rare clip of the entire family playing a competitive game with her parents, Carole and Michael. In the caption, she wrote, "Doing what I can to stay cancer-free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes."

I imagine Middleton's health journey hits close to home for Ferguson, since the royal was previously diagnosed with cancer twice. After undergoing a single mastectomy, she went to a dermatologist and learned that she had skin cancer.

Fergie has since been quite vocal about navigating her condition. Per Express, she said, "When you're told you have cancer, you can't help thinking it's a death sentence. Your mind goes to the darkest places and you wonder what lies ahead and how you are going to share the news with your family."

Recalling her dermatologist visit, she continued, "I had almost missed the appointment as I couldn't face a journey into central London on a hot summer's day and thought I would put it off. It was only when I mentioned this by chance to my sister Jane, who had called me from her home in Australia, that she went into bossy older sibling mode and insisted I went. That check-up, and the treatment I underwent, saved my life."
