Sarah Ferguson & Princess Beatrice Copy Kate Middleton’s Go-To Parenting Move in New IG Post

Sarah Ferguson is beyond thrilled to become a grandmother again—and she wants the world to know it.

Shortly after Buckingham Palace announced that her daughter, Princess Beatrice, is expecting her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, the 64-year-old royal shared sweet family photos and a personal statement on Instagram to mark the occasion. In the caption, she wrote, "A very proud GiGi/Mum today. Such an incredible blessing and an embrace to my heart. Wolfie, August, Ernie and Sienna will be over the moon to have the fifth member of the five aside!"

The family pic shows the duchess bonding with her daughter and granddaughter, 3-year-old Sienna, in what appears to be an outdoor garden, and I noticed something quite familiar. It appears that both Ferguson and the princess have taken a page from Kate Middleton's parenting book.

In the first slide, Ferguson and Princess Beatrice are both decked out in blue as they crouch down to engage with Sienna, who's donning a white dress, at eye level. Middleton has done the same on several occasions while conversing with children, because speaking with them on the same plane creates a safe space for them to feel empowered, and it's much easier to establish eye contact.

Just a few month ago, the Princess of Wales was seen using the popular parenting move while she interacted with her daughter, Princess Charlotte, at The Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championship.
