Sarah Ferguson Reveals the Foolproof Advice She Tells Her Royal Daughters: ‘Get Your Game On’

If there’s one thing that Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson is proud of, it’s her daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

On a recent episode of her podcast, Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah, the 63-year-old royal shared rare details about her parenthood journey with daughters Princess Beatrice (34) and Princess Eugenie (33). Ferguson revealed that her number one focus in raising them was to instill good manners.

“I always say to my girls: when you’re out on the public stage, smile,” Ferguson said. “And if you don’t want to be polite, don’t go out on the public stage—because no one wants to see a grumpy princess. You’ve heard me say that many times.”

She continued, “So, I think the most important thing is you’ve got to get your game on.”

This isn’t the first time Ferguson has gushed about her daughters. In a previous podcast episode, Ferguson praised them for their behind-the-scenes work.

“My girls are incredible. It’s both private and public, right? They work very, very hard publicly. They work very, very hard privately. They are mothers and the work-life balance that they are getting is extraordinary,” she said. “They just do it. They just do it in a very, very real way. And I’m so proud of them.”

Princess Beatrice shares a daughter, Sienna (1), with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Princess Eugenie has two children—August (2) and Ernest (2 months)—with her husband, Jack Brooksbank.
