Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, 64, is proving that black leather jackets never go out of style.

On November 7, the Duchess of York attended a VIP inaugural dinner hosted by The Wolseley City to celebrate the restaurant’s opening in London. Per Hello! Magazine, the mother of two stepped out in a fierce black leather jacket with gold buttons across the exterior.

As for the rest of her outfit, the book author rocked a sleek black dress (with a red poppy pin representing Remembrance Day on the bodice). Ferguson paired the outfit with a black pair of stockings. And to tie the bold look together, she went with a smokey eye and a pink, nude lip.

Though bold, the jacket was only mildly surprising. Sure, Ferguson is usually known to wear bright, colorful pieces that make her stand out. But occasionally we see the duchess wear a leather piece to an event, and honestly, we’re never mad at it.

Hello! also reported that Ferguson, along with Harry Potter actress Genevieve Gaunt, famous Duran Duran keyboardist Nick Rhodes and Pink Floyd member Nick Mason, were just a few of the many notable guests to attend the celebratory event.

And it was a special night indeed. The outlet revealed the grand opening of The Wolseley City fell on the same day the first-ever Wolseley opened its doors on Piccadilly Street.

But this isn’t the first time Ferguson has rocked a leather ensemble. Earlier this year, Ferguson was photographed walking outside of the formerly known Live with Kelly and Ryan studio, where she rocked a leather dress with a belt wrapped around her waist.
