Sara Ramirez Teases Fans Will See More Che in ‘And Just Like That…’ Season 2

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

Looks like we’ll be seeing a lot more Che in the second season of And Just Like That…

In an exclusive interview with Variety, Sara Ramirez talked about returning for the second season and confirmed that fans will see their character differently. In season one, Che was first introduced as a podcaster/stand-up comic—who also won the heart of Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon).

Without giving too much away, the season ended with the two leaving New York City and running away together to Los Angeles for Che to pursue a career opportunity.

Even though Che didn’t receive the warmest welcome from viewers in the first season, Ramirez teased Che’s story will be bigger than ever (yes please). “The first season was judging a book by its cover, and season 2 is about reading the book,” they told the publication.

And Just Like That… showrunner Michael Patrick King chimed in and said he wants audiences to see Che in a brand-new way. “One of my burning passions about season 2 is Che,” he said. “I want to show the dimension of Che that people didn’t see, for whatever reason—because they were blinded, out of fear or terror. I want to show more of Che rather than less of Che. Like, really.”

Back in March, HBO confirmed the Sex and the City reboot series will return for a second season. King issued an official statement that read: “I am delighted and excited to tell more stories about these vibrant, bold characters—played by these powerful, amazing actors. The fact is, we're all thrilled. And Just like That… our sex life is back.”

We can’t wait to see Che and our favorite BFFs in season two.
