Though we do get posts of occasional food videos and info about his non-profit organization, we rarely see American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, 48, upload photos of his family on Instagram. But that all changed earlier this week when the former Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host shared an extremely rare picture of himself spending time with his 4-year-old niece, Flora.

In the newly shared photo, Seacrest bends down to give his niece a kiss on the cheek. For the casual outing, the game show host kept his outfit nice and comfy, sporting a navy blue short-sleeve shirt with denim jeans and white loafer shoes.

Meanwhile, Flora (who is smiling widely and holding her uncle’s hand) can be seen rocking a fuschia top and shorts with colorful sandals. Seacrest wrote in the caption, “Garden field trip. I think the basket might be too big for 3 cherry tomatoes.”

In the comments section, his followers shared how much they’ve missed learning about Flora. One person wrote under the photo, “I miss hearing all about Flora on the morning show. Hope your summer has been wonderful!” Another supporter couldn’t believe how much she’s grown, commenting, “Your niece has gotten big!! She is a cutie.”

It’s been a while since fans of Seacrest have seen his niece. Back in August 2022, Flora (who was three years old) made a surprise appearance on the formerly-known Live with Kelly and Ryan, where her uncle served as a co-host.

While on camera, she got a chance to try chocolate chip cookies alongside her uncle and guest host, Tameron Hall.

“Flora, you know what we should do? Eat all those cookies and then hang out with Mommy," Seacrest jokingly said at the time. “A little sugar rush.”

We can’t get enough of these rare family moments.
