Last Friday, Ryan Seacrest, 48, marked the end of an era and finally said goodbye to his Live co-host, Kelly Ripa, 52, after hosting the morning show for almost six years. Before he made his official departure, the American Idol host had a special surprise in store for his replacement, Mark Consuelos, 52, who just made his big hosting debut on the brand-new Live with Kelly and Mark on Monday.

In an exclusive interview with People magazine, Consuelos revealed the heartwarming parting gift the former co-host left to happily welcome him to the Live fam: a pic of Steve McQueen (with a handwritten note).

“He left all his furniture, which is amazing,” the All My Children alum told the outlet. “He left me a beautiful hand-written note with a gorgeous photograph of Steve McQueen. It’s going to go right there on the wall.”

As for what the note said? Even though the Riverdale star didn’t share what exactly was written in the letter, Consuelos did reveal to the publication that Seacrest gave him some “supportive” and “encouraging” advice as he enters this new hosting chapter.

“Ryan’s the best, and he's been so supportive of this move. I am so appreciative of his friendship and the warm words he's shown me,” the actor continued, before adding that Seacrest’s touching gift was a “very peaceful transfer of power.”

Before Consuelos made his hosting debut on Live yesterday morning, Seacrest shared a heartfelt social media message to wish him good luck on his first day. In a photo shared on Instagram, the two of them are having a *pretty* intense staring competition.

Seacrest wrote in the caption, “Your mornings are in good hands, and even better hair. Good luck, @instasuelos. Wishing you a great first day.”

Now we can’t wait for Seacrest to come back and guest co-host with Consuelos.
