For Ryan Reynolds, 46, Instagram is less a place to share your memories and more a platform to troll your family and friends. However, when his wife, Blake Lively, celebrated her 36th birthday on Friday, August 25, the Deadpool actor went the sentimental route with his post.

“The only thing irrevocably mine in the world is the love and appreciation and awe I feel for this person,” Reynolds wrote, as he posted a slideshow of photos featuring Lively. “Witnessing her life is something I couldn’t take for granted if I tried. And believe me, I try. Happy Birthday, @blakelively. You hung the damn moon.”

The carousel included various photos of the birthday girl, as well as selfies the couple have taken throughout their ten year-plus relationship.

Reynolds and Lively first met while filming the superhero flick Green Lantern back in 2010. They began dating the following October, and they tied the knot at the Boone Hall Plantation in September 2012.

Since then, the pair have grown a full house. They have three daughters—James, 8, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3—as well as a fourth child who they welcomed this past winter. They subtly announced the birth of baby no. 4 in February, but they have yet to reveal the child's name or sex.

In the past, the Free Guy actor has celebrated his wife's birthday with silly photos, usually accompanied by cheeky captions.

The shift that occurred this year didn't go unnoticed by commenters. The official Instagram account for Facebook commented, “Did Blake pick the photos this year?” Meanwhile, singer-songwriter Richard Marx wrote, “Wow. You left her face in every photo. That’s some serious love. HBD!!!”

Last year on the Gossip Girl alum's bday, Reynolds shared a slideshow that was a mix of sweet selfies and candid snaps (including one that saw Lively asleep with a chunk of kale on her face). “Happy Birthday, @blakelively,” he wrote. “You’re spectacular. I’m not sure if you were born or invented. Also, thank you for urging me to leave the house every now and again.”

We never know what to expect from you, Ryan. But we have a feeling this post won you some Great Husband points.
