Royal News Roundup: First-Look Royal Baby Pics, a Missing Engagement Ring & Meghan Markle in South America

• To close out the 2024 Paris Olympics, Prince William and Kate Middleton, 42, took a break from their summer vacation to share a special video on their joint Instagram page, congratulating Team Great Britain on their performance during the Games. 
• In the surprise video, the Prince of Wales sported a beard and a blue shirt that was slightly unbuttoned at the collar, revealing his chest hair. While rocking her signature Breton top,  (pssst, we found three lookalike options), Princess Catherine was also seen wearing a promise ring instead of her 12-carat diamond and sapphire engagement ring.
• Following the death of a Welsh pizza seller they met last year (who passed away from cancer at the age of 47), Princess Catherine and Prince William penned a heartfelt letter to the late man’s wife.
• In honor of International Youth Day, the Diana Legacy Awards posted a recap video from this year’s ceremony, which showed several clips of Prince William at the awards ceremony. He reshared the video on his Instagram Story along with a personal message.
• This week, London’s Air Ambulance Charity's official Instagram page posted a series of photos of first responders and volunteers, with one pic showing a group of paramedics interacting with the future monarch. In response, Prince William posted a rare personal statement and signed the message with his initial: “W.”

• Shortly after the 2024 Paris Olympics concluded, King Charles posted a special message for Team Great Britain, celebrating their performance throughout the Games. The monarch also signed the caption by adding his signature, “Charles R.”

• Aside from King Charles’s personal Olympics statement, Duchess Sophie took to Instagram to share a message of her own. As she commended Team GB’s efforts (and shared a few highlights from her surprise visit) the royal signed the message with her first name, “Sophie.”
• Earlier this week, Buckingham Palace released a montage video compiled of various clips recorded during the Duchess of Edinburgh’s recent solo trip to Guernsey, where the 59-year-old royal set sail on the Ocean Youth Trust South’s vessel called “The Prolific.” The duchess appeared at ease as she “took the helm,” giving off major sailor vibes. 

• Shortly after welcoming their first child, Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa of Jordan took to Instagram this week to share first-look photos of their baby girl, Princess Iman bint.
• Princess Diana’s younger brother, Charles Spencer, posted a throwback photo of their father, John Spencer, which was taken during his military days.
