When it comes to the royal cast of famous faces, we're all quite familiar with the regulars (Kate Middleton, King Charles, Prince Harry). But there are also some lesser known royals who make headlines now and again (I'm talking Princess Beatrice announcing her pregnancy, Lady Amelia Windsor changing up her hair). And now, one such B-teamer, Mike Tindall, is stealing the spotlight with his upcoming book, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby—Unleashed.

Tindall is married to Princess Anne's daughter, Zara Tindall, and is a former rugby player. He's caught our attention before—like when he revealed Prince William's embarrassing nickname—and now he's doing it again.

Princess Anne's son-in-law co-hosts a podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, along with friends Alex Payne and James Haskell. Together, the three have penned Unleashed, which is described as a 'hilarious new sports book'.

Per The Daily Mail, Tindall discusses his royal family members within the book. In fact, he references the time Princess Anne, Prince William and Kate Middleton appeared on his podcast.

He said in reference to Will and Catherine, "I think the podcast humanised them a little bit, and I kind of wish they'd let us put the uncut version out, because it would have blown the public away."

Tindall continued, "They came across as down-to-earth, fully engaged, funny and knowledgeable... it was a far more enlightening chat than I expected, not because I thought they'd be dull (I already knew that they weren't), but because I know how everything to do with the royal family is so carefully controlled." Carefully controlled? We could've guessed...

At the time of the podcast recording, a clip from the episode was shared to the official royal family Instagram account, where we got a glimpse of the rare royal sit-down. “Great chatting all things rugby and much more on @GoodBadRugby,” the caption read, along with an emoji of a rugby football.

In the clip, we see one moment where the Prince of Wales discusses the only sporting event that’s ever made him cry—when his cousin, Zara, won an individual gold medal at the European Eventing Championship in Blenheim in 2005.

William said, “The only time I've ever cried watching a sport was when Zara won, I think it was the European Championship.”

Keep the revealing royal moments coming.
