Robin Williams’s Son, Zak, Just Named His First Child After the Late Actor

Robin Williams’s oldest son, Zak, is honoring his late father in a super-special way.

Zak just confirmed that he and his fiancée, Olivia June, welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named McLaurin Clement Williams, as People reports. The newborn is named after the Mrs. Doubtfire actor, whose full given name was Robin McLaurin Williams.

In addition to the baby announcement, the couple also shared a series of exclusive pics with the mag, featuring the duo admiring their bundled cherub.

Little McLaurin arrived on May 22 and weighed in at 8 pounds, measuring 20.5 inches long. The proud parents revealed that they plan on calling the baby “Mickey,” so bring on the Disney memorabilia.

McLaurin’s arrival comes almost five years after Robin tragically passed away at age 63. He left behind three children: Zak (36), Zelda (29) and Cody (27).

Zak previously opened up about the death of his father in David Itzkoff’s 2018 biography, Robin. “I’m kicking myself for not visiting him during that time,” he said. “Because I think that was a very lonely period for him. In retrospect, I feel like I should have been there, spending time with him. Because someone who needs support was not getting the support he needed.”

We have no doubt he’s beaming with pride.
