This ‘Good Morning America’ Host Announces She's Taking Time Off

Everybody needs a little break every once in a while, even the hosts of our favorite talk shows.

Robin Roberts just announced that she will be taking a couple of weeks off from Good Morning America, which means she will be leaving the hosting to her fellow anchors, like George Stephanopoulos and Lara Spencer.

The talk show host announced her vacay with an Instagram video, which she captioned, “See you in September @goodmorningamerica,” along with a waving hand emoji. In the clip, Roberts is seen sporting a chic black and tan minidress and singing along as the song "See You in September" by the Tempos plays in the background. She then walks (and dances) off the set, while waving and saying “bye” to the crew.

While Roberts will be missed, many fans sent their well-wishes in the comments. One user wrote, “Enjoy your vacation! Be safe and have fun!” Meanwhile, another got it right when they said, “Now that is how you make your vacation exit.”

Roberts will most likely be taking a trip with her longtime partner, Amber Laign. The two have been together since 2005 and they celebrated their 15th anniversary last year. Laign commemorated the moment with an Instagram post that Roberts reposted, which said, “Having you by my side is a gift as we continue to navigate this thing called life. I drive you crazy....I know which is why I love you even more to this day. You have the kindest heart and most beautiful soul than anyone I know.” The message also included a collage of photos tracing the many years of their relationship.

We hope Roberts enjoys her well-deserved time off.
