Rita Ora Just Confirmed That She’s Married to Taika Waititi and ‘Off the Market’

Looks like we can expect some love-filled songs from Rita Ora in the near future, because the 32-year-old singer just confirmed that she is married to actor and filmmaker Taika Waititi, 47.

While stopping by the talk show Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, the British crooner divulged the exciting news. When asked if she had tied the knot, Ora said, “Yes. Here we are. They say everything happens for a reason. I am officially off the market, people.”

Without going into much further detail, the “Black Widow” singer said that she and Waititi shared a “perfect” ceremony. “[It was] exactly how I wanted it,” Ora said. “It was just nice and perfect. Completely how I wanted it—just to myself sometimes. It was really sweet.”

She then added, “Sorry, it’s not that interesting! One day, we’ll throw a big party. I’ll figure out the time to have a big, big party.”

Ora and Waititi have been together since 2021, and their wedding reportedly took place in the summer of 2022. Waititi was previously married to Chelsea Winstanley and they share two daughters together.

After rumors circulated that Ora and Waititi gotten hitched, the singer then got people talking when she promoted the music video for her new single, “You Only Love Me,” in which she dons a wedding dress.

Ora showed it off in an Instagram post (seen above) last week, where she said, “What happens when a dream just feels oh so very real? Only in an 1987 YSL wedding gown of course @shrimptoncouture.”

While on Heart Breakfast, Ora explained that the video was inspired by all the rumors about her and Waititi getting married. “I wanted to play on it,” the singer said. “So this is my version of a wedding that didn’t really go to plan. That’s my music video.”

Congrats to the happy couple!
