On the rare occasion that Rihanna hits the red carpet, she always, without fail, steals the show. Such was the case at last night’s 2019 British Fashion Awards.
The 31-year-old Grammy winner arrived at Royal Albert Hall in London wearing a seafoam ensemble and all the rhinestones.
Presumably dressed in head to toe Fenty (her own luxury fashion line, in case you’re unfamiliar) the “Love on the Brain” singer worked the carpet in a silk sweetheart neckline strapless dress with darts and those tell-tale Fenty rounded side slits. She topped off the slinky dress with a crepe georgette duster that was suspended from her shoulders with strands of rhinestones that matched her ornate filigree choker.
When RiRi turned around to showcase the back of her outfit, fans were surprised to see a cascade of bling down her back. It was basically a sparkling harness that allowed Rihanna to show just the right amount of shoulder without having to worry about her jacket slipping off. Brilliant.
We also got a glimpse of the corset back of her dress and the enormous diamond studs she chose to finish her look off with.
We’d be remiss not to mention the sheer rouched organza elbow-length gloves she wore with the outfit, which were just sheer enough to show her seafoam-hued manicure. She completed the look with pale blue green strappy pumps and a half-up, half-down braided ’do.
Now, her look isn’t yet available on the Fenty site, so it may be custom, which would be fitting because it’s so Rihanna.
She always knows how to shine bright like a diamond—or should we say, like a rhinestone.
