Rihanna (who is pregnant with her second child) might have been fashionably late to the 2023 Met Gala, but when she finally showed up to the star-studded event, she did what she always does best: slay.

Last night, some of our favorite celebs came to dress and impress on one of the biggest nights in fashion. The theme for this year? All of the attendees had to come dressed up in a look inspired by the late fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld, who has worked with famous brands like Balmain, Patou, Chanel, Chloé and many more.

And as one of the final guests to walk the red carpet, the Fenty Beauty founder certainly did not disappoint (as per usual). The 35-year-old singer and entrepreneur (who was escorted by her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky) brought the Met Gala carpet to a close with her beautifully crafted white gown designed by Valentino, which featured an assortment of white flowers on the top and a billowing train on the bottom.

According to Vogue, the entertainer’s Met Gala look was inspired by Lagerfeld’s “Chanel brides,” who were models personally picked by the iconic fashion designer to close out his runway shows.

While the chosen model didn’t wear the color white all the time, Lagerfeld would include them in the show to “make statements about gay marriage, gender identity, austerity, showmanship” and most of all, show the importance of “unadulterated beauty.”

Rihanna, you will forever be the queen of the Met Gala.
