Happy birthday, baby RZA! Rihanna, 35, and Rakim Athelaston Mayers (aka A$AP Rocky), 34, helped their son celebrate his first birthday this weekend, and Mayers commemorated the moment by sharing a slideshow of photos to his Instagram account.

The New York-born rapper posted a series of pics featuring the birthday boy, including shots of him lying on a blanket with his parents, watching his dad shave, sporting cute outfits and more. “WU TANG IZ 4 DA CHUREN,” Mayers quoted in his caption. “HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TO MY 1st BORN. RZA [heart emoji].”

We only learned the name of the pair's baby earlier this week, when People obtained the child's birth certificate and learned that he was named RZA Athelston Mayers.

As noted by Mayers in his caption, the name “RZA” pays homage to a member of the famous hip-hop group, the Wu-Tang Clan. Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, who goes by the stage name RZA (pronounced “Rizza”), is a rapper, producer and leader of the group.

Rihanna and A$AP welcomed their baby boy in May 2022, months after the singer took a snowy walk in Harlem and debuted her baby bump, revealing she was pregnant. We did not get a glimpse of baby RZA until December 2022, when RiRi posted a clip of the infant in an inaugural TikTok.

Now, the pair are expecting their family to get even bigger. When Rihanna performed during the Super Bowl LVII halftime show back in February, she rubbed her belly, revealing that she was pregnant with her second child. Later that night, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news. Now, we've seen Rihanna show off her growing baby bump at various events, like the Met Gala earlier this month.

We hope year 2 is the best one yet, baby RZA.
