Reese Witherspoon Reveals Her Punny Nickname for BFF Mindy Kaling

It's Mindy Kaling's birthday today, which means she's getting lots of warm wishes, including one from her BFF, Reese Witherspoon.

Witherspoon posted a series of throwbacks with the birthday girl, saying, “Happy birthday to my brilliant / hysterical / gorgeous friend @mindykaling aka the only person who can make me laugh just by looking at me sideways.”

In the Legally Blonde star's slideshow, we see the two friends palling around behind the scenes of projects like A Wrinkle in Time and The Morning Show. Along with these pics, Witherspoon also revealed a personal nickname she's given to her frequent collaborator. She said, “Min Diesel, you make the world a happier place! Love you so much! (hoping this post inspires her to write the epic buddy comedy we ALL want to see).”

Kaling responded to the heartfelt post and revealed that she's got her very own nickname for Witherspoon too. She said, “I love to the moon and back @reesewitherspoon! ♥ thank you for being the best source of advice in the hardest of times and always the shiniest light in the best. Lucky to call you my Reese dawg!”

Fans couldn't get over the nickname reveal, with one user saying, “MIN DIESEL.” Another commented, “Mindy and you are the cutest duo!! ♥ happy birthday to her.”

But Reese's birthday wishes didn't stop there. She also shared a gif on her Story that shows Kaling dancing and finger-wagging on an episode of her series The Mindy Project. Witherspoon said: “How I feel about it being @mindykaling's birthday!!”

Now that the idea of a Witherspoon/Kaling buddy comedy has been planted in our mind, can we hurry up and make that a reality?
