Reese Witherspoon recently had to say goodbye to one member of her four-legged family. However, just weeks later, she’s welcoming a new pet into the mix.
On Monday, the Legally Blonde star introduced her followers to her family’s new puppy—a-black-and-white French bulldog. “Introducing Minnie Pearl,” she wrote alongside a sweet snap of the dog. “Welcome to the family little one.”
And it wasn’t long before the comments section filled up with support from followers and fellow celebrities. “Stop it!!!!” wrote Sarah Michelle Gellar while one fan added “Welcome lil angel !! We would love you Reese to bless us with some new content with this cutie!”
Minnie Pearl marks the third pup in the Witherspoon family. The actress adopted her blue-eyed bulldog, Lou, in 2019 and is also the proud mom of a brown Labrador, Hank.
As we mentioned above, the newest addition comes just weeks after the loss of her French bulldog, Pepper. The 44-year-old revealed the sad news in an Instagram tribute.
“Our sweet Pepper passed away yesterday. My goodness, she was such a loyal and devoted family member,” she captioned the post. “I am so heart broken, but I am also deeply grateful for all the love and comfort she brought our family. Now she’s in dog heaven where all great pets go. Chasing tennis balls, running through open fields of wild flowers and being the Queen that she is. That’s what I believe. We will always love you, Pepper.”
