Listen up, my fellow bookworms! Reese Witherspoon has finally revealed her August book club choice—and boy, does it look like a good one.

Yesterday on Instagram, the Legally Blonde alum revealed that Slow Dance by Rainbow Rowell is the Reese’s Book Club pick for August.

Alongside a photo of herself holding up the book, Witherspoon wrote in the caption, “Happy (almost) August and happy 99th @reesesbookclub pick!!!!!! [mind blown emoji] This month’s pick, #SlowDance by @rainbowrowell invites you into the bittersweet world of Shiloh and Cary, where childhood promises are tested by time, and love finds its way back through unexpected twists.”

The post also features a video of the Big Little Lies alum, 48, talking about the book. Though she says reading Slow Dance makes her feel “so nostalgic for high school,” the mother of three goes on to tell her followers that the book is such a “charming, beautiful and funny” read.

Shortly after Witherspoon unveiled Slow Dance as her August book club pick, Rowell celebrated the news on Instagram. Paired with a photo of herself holding a copy of Slow Dance, Rowell wrote in the caption, “I AM REJOICING! Slow Dance is August’s @reesesbookclub pick! I am so grateful and excited, and looking forward to this month. Thank you, @reesewitherspoon and @reesesbookclub!”

Slow Dance follows two childhood best friends named Shiloh and Cary. As they near the end of high school, Shiloh is set to head off to college. Meanwhile, Cary is going to join the Navy. They make a pact, promising each other that their friendship will never change…and yet, it still does. Years later, they reunite at a old friend’s wedding. Newly divorced and the mother of two kids, Shiloh wonders if she and Cary can ever be friends again, even after everything that happened between them.

As someone who’s a sucker for a good friends-to-lovers story, this book is going to the top of my summer reading list.
