Rebel Wilson Reveals What It’s Really Like Working with Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has a big reputation—she has a whole song about it. So when we got the chance to chat with her Cats co-star Rebel Wilson, we indulged our curious side and asked: What’s it really like working with Taylor Swift?

Wilson’s candid response? “She’s awesome.”

The 39-year-old Pitch Perfect alum went on to explain their working relationship, saying, “Basically, the structure of the movie is that all the main cats have their own number. So, our numbers were separate, but she was rehearsing while I was filming my number. She came down to the set [to watch]. She’s just so nice.”

Wilson says she’s excited to watch the 29-year-old Grammy winner’s song and dance portion of the movie: “I can’t wait. I haven’t seen her finished number yet for her song, which is called ‘Macavity.’ I just know she’ll definitely be the sexiest cat out of all of us,” she joked.

But Swift wasn’t the only heavy hitter she worked alongside on Cats. In addition to potentially licking Sir Ian McKellan, she also filmed a scene with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. “There’s one scene in the movie where Idris Elba, Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellan, myself and James Corden are sitting there tied up on a boat. There’s Taylor, Meow Meow—who’s a Cabaret performer who’s great—and Ray Winston,” Wilson explained. “There were so many people. That was surreal. It was like, ‘I kind of can’t believe I’m in this scene.’”

Talk about pinch me moments. Now we wait to see if Wilson’s catspectations about Taylor are correct.
