It turns out that even for some of the world's biggest stars, Dolly Parton is a hard person to get a hold of...if you don't have a fax machine that is. In a new interview with the Southern Accents Radio podcast, country music legend Reba McEntire revealed that this is the main form of communication she uses to reach the “9 to 5” singer.
McEntire sat down with Dave Cobb for the podcast, where she talked about Parton's unusual form of correspondence. It all began when Cobb asked about her recent collaboration with Parton, where the two remade McEntire's “Does He Love You” collaboration with Linda Davis for her Revived Remixed Revisited album last fall.
As this was (shockingly) McEntire and Parton's first recorded duet together, Cobb asked the “Turn on the Radio” singer what it was like “making that call” to Parton. However, McEntire quickly corrected him, saying, “Well, you don't call Dolly, you fax her...And you fax your people, and your people talk to her people.” She added, “That's the only way I know to get ahold of her.”
