Following Prince Harry’s appearance in the ITV documentary Tabloids on Trial, a tell-all program that exposed the illegal techniques some journalists used to obtain voicemail accounts of celebrities and public figures, Queen Camilla is partnering with the U.K. network to help raise awareness to a cause she has been passionate about for over a decade.

According to Hello! Magazine, ITV announced a new documentary centered around the 77-year-old royal’s efforts to combat domestic violence—and it’s set to premiere late this year. Titled Her Majesty The Queen: Behind Closed Doors, fans will get to see the queen like never before, featuring special footage of the royal meeting with domestic violence survivors and hosting round-tables with young adults.

Also, the 90-minute documentary will include interviews with survivors as well as relatives of victims who are fighting to end domestic violence. One of the interviewees will be Diana Parkes, who sadly lost her daughter Joanna Simpson after she was killed by her estranged husband in 2010.

Months before she was crowned as queen during the king’s coronation ceremony, Camilla shared how she strives to “help the likes of people like Diana [Parkes]” through her work fighting domestic violence.

In a statement, Sue Murphy (the Director of Factual Entertainment at ITV), said: “ITV is proud to be making this documentary with Her Majesty the Queen about this hugely important subject. We hope the film will raise awareness and inspire change in our society.”

This news comes over a month after it was announced that Prince William will star in an ITV docuseries of his own. Called Prince William: We Can End Homelessness, the two-part ITV documentary will revolve around the Prince of Wales’s five-year initiative, Homewards, launched in partnership with The Royal Foundation in June 2023.

Though we don’t have an exact release date, Queen Camilla’s documentary is expected to debut in late 2024.
