It’s official: Queen Camilla is returning to royal duties for the first time since Easter, and she’s doing it in style.
This week, the 76-year-old royal hosted a get-together at Buckingham Palace with the Changemakers from the charity Safe Lives (more on this later).
Queen Camilla rocked a black dress that she wore over a leopard-print blouse that was visible at the collar and sleeves. She completed the look with her favorite over-the-knee boots: the Russell and Bromley ‘Dressage’ style.
This was the queen’s first event since she took a brief hiatus from her royal duties to celebrate Easter and her anniversary to King Charles (which took place on April 9). The royal couple left Balmoral Castle and relocated to Birkhall for a few days to celebrate the special occasion.
The royal family shared a slideshow of images on Instagram and detailed the event in the caption. It read, “As Patron of @SafeLives_, The Queen has joined a discussion with Changemakers, young pioneers of the charity, at Buckingham Palace. SafeLives recognises children and young people as victims in their own right - with those aged 13-17 experiencing some of the highest rates of domestic abuse.”
It continued, “The young group assist in guiding the charity’s response to issues facing young people, with a particular focus on exploring and promoting healthy relationships. One of the key priorities for the Changemakers over the next year is to ensure that the voices of children and young people are heard and accounted for in the design, development and delivery of domestic abuse responses.”
