Nearly two months after announcing his cancer diagnosisKing Charles will accompany his wife, Queen Camilla, to the Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel.

Buckingham Palace has announced that His Majesty, 75, will attend the annual church service this upcoming Sunday. This will be the monarch’s first major public appearance since starting treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer, which the palace revealed in a statement back in February.

During the king’s absence, Queen Camilla, 76 has made a number of solo trips over the last couple of months.

Just last week, Her Majesty visited an Arcadia deli in Belfast located in Northern Ireland. While in the shop, the royal was given a get-well card for her husband and this heartfelt gesture led her to give a health update on the king. The queen revealed that he is “doing very well.” She added, “He was very disappointed he couldn't come.”

While it’s been confirmed that King Charles will be going to the Easter Sunday service, royally obsessed fans might be wondering if Kate Middleton, who recently revealed she has cancer in an emotional video message, will join this year’s festivities.

Unfortunately, the Princess of Wales, Prince William and their three children—Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5—will not attend the service. According to a spokesman from Kensington Palace, Princess Catherine will not return to her royal duties until her doctors see fit.

“The Princess will return to official duties when she is cleared to do so by her medical team. She is in good spirits and is focused on making a full recovery,” a spokesman from the palace revealed on Friday, according to People.

We look forward to seeing His Majesty back in action.
