Major congratulations are in order because Queen Camilla has just been given a new title.

Earlier this morning, the royal family announced that Her Majesty has become the first patron of the Rifleman’s Association. Back in 2020, the royal was appointed as the new Colonel-in-Chief of “The Rifles,” taking over the role from the late Prince Philip, who held the position since 2007.

Along with the news, the royal family shared a candid photo of the queen, 77, conversing with members of “The Rifles.” According to the caption, the Rifleman’s Association aims to create a forum for serving and veteran Riflemen to “stay connected with the regiment” in addition to creating a safe space to provide “friendship, support and assistance” as needed.

This is not the first honorary title the queen has received this year. Back in April, Queen Camilla—along with Kate Middleton, Prince William and the Duchess of Gloucester (who is the wife of the late Queen Elizabeth’s cousin the Duke of Gloucester)—were all given brand-new titles by King Charles

According to the official royal website, Her Majesty was given the role of Grand Master and First or Principal Dame Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by her husband.

This year has been a big year for Queen Camilla. Not only has the royal proved that she is fully capable of taking on more responsibilities by stepping in for King Charles while he underwent treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer, but she has also been her husband’s support system throughout this difficult time. This has also been a historic year for the queen as well. Earlier this year, Her Majesty made history as the first consort to lead this year’s Royal Maundy Service, which is traditionally led by the British monarch.

Congratulations on all your success, Queen Camila!
