While Queen Camilla is on a two-day solo trip to Northern Ireland this week, the 76-year-old royal is taking a moment to share a new health update about her husband, King Charles, who has been receiving medical treatment for his cancer diagnosis since it was first made public in a statement (released by Buckingham Palace) back in February.

During the queen’s visit to the Arcadia food store in Belfast (per Hello! Magazine), a shop assistant named Brenda Robb gave the royal a get-well card for His Majesty and shared wishes for a speedy recovery. Touched by the gesture, Queen Camilla accepted the card on her husband’s behalf and revealed that the king is currently “doing very well.” She continued, “He was very disappointed he couldn't come.”

While noting that men are known for “not being the best patients,” Queen Camilla added, “I try to keep him in order.”

Hello! also reported that King Charles was supposed to accompany his wife on this trip to Northern Ireland. However, due to his cancer diagnosis, the monarch was unable to attend. Ever since King Charles started his medical treatment, the queen has made a handful of solo appearances as one of the few working royals of the British monarchy

This latest update comes over a month after the king himself released a personal statement about his well-being. On February 10, His Majesty posted a photo of himself shaking hands with a healthcare worker on the royal family’s Instagram page. In the caption, he wrote, “I would like to express my most heartfelt thanks for the many messages of support and good wishes I have received in recent days. As all those who have been affected by cancer will know, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement.”

We’re so happy to hear that you’re doing well, King Charles.
