Priyanka Chopra Shares Beach Throwback Photo of Her 18-Year-Old Self (& It Has 1.5 Million Likes)

There's nothing we love more than a celebrity throwback, and Priyanka Chopra treated her Instagram followers to a rare snap late last week, which was taken when the White Tiger star was only 18 years old.

In the flashback pic, Chopra is rocking a patterned bikini with a sheer sarong wrapped over her bottoms. She's also wearing a bindi and bangles on both of her arms. According to the location she tagged, this photo was taken on the beaches of the Maldives.

Alongside the pic, Chopra wrote, “Circa November 2000. Presenting my 18 yr old ‘smolder’ [laughing emoji].” She also tagged the photographer who snapped the photo, Patrick Durand.

It was clear that Chopra's followers loved the throwback, because the photo quickly gained over 1.5 million likes. Fans commented things like “Always a queen” and “Wowwwwww.” Chopra's husband, Nick Jonas, also showed his love in the comments, where he left a fire emoji.

This modeling pic was taken right around the time that Chopra was catapulted into superstardom. At age 18, she was crowned Miss World 2000, which would soon lead to roles in films like Thamizhan and The Hero: Love Story of a Spy. As a result, she earned five Filmfare Awards, as well as a National Film Award for Best Actress.

It's not often that we get throwbacks like this from Chopra, but there's been a few times in the past where the star has dug up photos from her teenage years. Back in January 2021, the Quantico actress uploaded a major throwback to promote her new book, Unfinished, and she captioned it, “Lean, mean and all of 17!!!”
