First, King Charles bestowed upon his wife, Queen Camilla, the honor of wearing the new Family Order at the State Banquet on June 25. And now, it appears that another member of the British royal family will succeed the 75-year-old monarch in a brand-new role.

According to Hello! Magazine, Princess Margaret’s daughter, Lady Sarah Chatto, has been named as the new President of the Royal Ballet School, following behind her late mother, who previously held the title. The news was shared on the school’s official website on June 21.

The announcement read, “The Royal Ballet School is delighted to announce that Lady Sarah Chatto has taken on the role of President of the Royal Ballet School. Having previously served as Vice-President since 2004, Lady Sarah has now taken on the distinguished position, succeeding His Majesty King Charles III, who has become the Patron of the Royal Ballet School.”

It continued, “The Royal Ballet School is privileged to have Lady Sarah as its President, and we look forward to her continued service.”

Prior to obtaining the new role, Lady Sarah has shown an everlasting love and devotion to the arts. Aside from being an advocate of the Royal Ballet School, the 60-year-old countess is a talented artist as well as the patron of the Frederick Ashton Foundation and Vice President of the Royal Drawing School.

Similarly, throughout her life, Princess Margaret had a deep love for ballet. According to the Royal Ballet School website, she served as President of the School from 1956 (alongside the late Queen Elizabeth II, who served as patron of the intuition) up until she passed away in 2002.
