Princess Charlotte has always been the cheekiest of her siblings, and it seems like she’s only getting cheekier with age.
Earlier this week, Prince William visited the Babcock Vehicle Engineering facility and spoke with employees about his three children: Prince George (7), Princess Charlotte (6) and Prince Louis (3). Of course, one organizer made sure to ask about his daughter, who celebrated her sixth birthday on May 2.
“She’s 6, yeah,” he said according to Us Weekly. “If you ask her, she says she’s 16.” He also revealed that now that she’s no longer five, Charlotte makes sure that everyone knows that she’s in charge. He continued, “Charlotte says, 'I’m 6 now, I’ll do what I want.' It’s like, they grow up really fast.” Sounds about right.
The Duke of Cambridge also opened up about how the family celebrated the princess’s birthday, stating that “she had a lovely day.” The proud dad explained that the young royal’s party was far more exciting than last year's quarantine celebration. “Last year it was her birthday in lockdown, but this year we were able to have one other family over,” Prince William added. “They grow up very fast. It was great fun.”
