Last week, Princess Anne, 72, took part in the Freedom Parade honoring the Royal Logistic Corps, where she sported stunning ’50s glamour and looked as elegant as ever.

On Thursday, June 1, a gorgeous photo of the Princess Royal was posted to the official royal family Instagram account. “The Princess Royal today joined the @royallogisticcorps as they celebrated their 30th anniversary with a freedom parade in Winchester,” the caption read.

In the photo above, we see the Princess Royal sporting a light turquoise-colored coat, along with a matching wide-brimmed hat tilted to the side. The pieces were layered over a silk teal dress.

The pastel-colored ensemble was the perfect homage to old school style, channeling the looks of icons like Audrey Hepburn. One royal follower even commented, “How fabulous she looks. Pure ‘50s glamour. With the hard work…”

Princess Anne has clearly been a fan of an aqua palette recently, because she wore similar hues to the 2023 Commonwealth Day Service in March.

The rest of the caption noted the princess royal's part in the ceremony: “During this special anniversary event, Her Royal Highness was welcomed with a Royal Salute, before inspecting the Parade which involved over 500 personnel.”

They added, “The Princess is Colonel-in-Chief of the RLC, which provides logistic support functions to the @BritishArmy.”

It's been a busy few weeks for the Princess Royal, who also recently hosted an Investiture and bestowed honors upon U.K. residents, as seen below. (Let's not forget, she is cited as the hardest-working royal in the family.)

If there's one person who would have definitely appreciated this outfit, it's Queen Elizabeth. In fact, there's a photo of the late queen from when she was still just a princess, and her father had appointed her Colonel-in-Chief of the 16th/5th Lancers. In the snap from 1947, the then-Princess Elizabeth dons a button-up coatdress and a slanted hat.

Perhaps a nod to your late mom's fashion? Either way, keep these glam looks coming, Princess Anne.
