Princess Anne Emerges for Royal Outing—But I Can’t Get Over What’s Around Her Neck (and Its Connection to Charles)

Princess Anne was wearing the Prince of Wales Check Wool Scarf by Highgrove, which retails for $53. According to the website, the accessory was made from 100 percent merino wool, and it was designed by the king himself. 

The color of the scarf was inspired by the golden Cotswold stone at Highgrove Gardens. (FYI, Highgrove House is one of the king’s many royal residences, and it’s located in Gloucestershire, England.)

If the scarf looks familiar, you’re not alone. As Hello! magazine points out, many believe that King Charles gifted the scarf to several members of the royal family, including Princess Anne and Laurence. Last year, the duo were spotted wearing the accessory on Christmas morning alongside other royal relatives. 

Princess Anne’s outing came a few days after King Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, touched down in Sydney, Australia. Their arrival was historic because it marked the monarch's first visit to the country since becoming head of state.
