This just in: Princess Anne, 73, has been discharged from the hospital after suffering a concussion and minor injuries from a speculated horse-riding incident during the previous weekend.

Earlier this morning, Buckingham Palace announced that the Princess Royal has returned home to her Gatcombe Park estate after spending approximately five days in the Southmead Hospital in Bristol, England.

While she was recovering in the hospital, the princess’s husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy paid her a visit. In a video shared by a British reporter on X (formerly known as Twitter), the 69-year-old can be heard giving an encouraging health update about his wife. When asked how she is doing, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy said, “She’s fine. Slow but sure.”

Last weekend, Princess Anne was taken to the hospital for medical treatment after sustaining injuries while on her Gatcombe Park estate. Princess Anne’s husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, and her two children, Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips, were said to be on the estate when the incident occurred.

Following the accident, Buckingham Palace released a statement (posted on the official royal family website) that read: “The Princess Royal has sustained minor injuries and concussion following an incident on the Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening. Her Royal Highness remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, as a precautionary measure for observation and is expected to make a full and swift recovery.”

The statement went on to say that Princess Anne’s older brother, King Charles (who is currently undergoing cancer treatment), has been “kept closely informed” about his sister’s condition and joins other members of the British royal family in “sending his fondest love and well-wishes to The Princess for a speedy recovery.”

Sending our well wishes to Princess Anne and the royal family during this time.
