If you could use a few pointers on how to tame an unruly horse, then Princess Anne has got you covered.

Earlier today, the 73-year-old royal had a bit of a challenge with her horse while participating in the Trooping the Colour parade in London—but she handled it like a total pro, thanks to her unmatched equestrian skills.

In case you missed it, Princess Anne, in her role as Colonel of the Blues and Royals, traveled down The Mall on horseback at the procession alongside Prince William and Prince Edward. However, as they rode behind King Charles and Queen Camilla, Princess Anne's horse became restless and fell behind. Still, the princess kept her cool and quickly regained control of the horse without drawing too much attention to herself.

Given that she's an accomplished equestrian who competed in the Olympic Games and has a gold medal to her name, it makes total sense that she handled this challenge like a pro. In response to the recording, one fan tweeted, "Princess Anne, always the outstanding horsewoman!" Another wrote, "Such a fabulous rider."

For the occasion, the Princess Royal wore the Blues and Royals ceremonial uniform, including a bicorn hat, white jodhpurs and black riding boots. The princess's ensemble also featured golden aiguillettes, representing her role as a Personal Aide-de-Camp to her brother, King Charles.

Additionally, she carried the Gold Stick, along with the Colonel of The Life Guards who is the Gold Stick-in-Waiting for this year’s parade. (If you recall, Princess Anne also rode on horseback at King Charles's coronation last year, serving as the Gold Stick-in-Waiting.)

While speaking with CBC News, the Princess Royal said, "Gold Stick was the original close protection officer. So that is a role I was asked if I'd like to do for this coronation, so I said yes. Not least of all, it solves my dress problem."

Kudos to the princess for preventing a major mishap at this year's parade.
