Prince William Has, Um, *Interesting* Taste in Music Based on Song Choice for Latest IG Video

In the past, we've learned that Prince William, 41, is a fan of rock (he told a group of schoolchildren that he really likes Coldplay and Linkin Park) and the classics (Tina Turner’s “The Best” reminds him of his mom, Princess Diana). However, this royal has a few surprise favorites up his sleeve, as evidenced by his latest Instagram post.

To celebrate International Dog Day (August 26), the Prince of Wales posted a video to the Instagram account he shares with his wife, Kate Middleton, 41. The clip, which was a compilation of the many pooches the couple have encountered on the road, was soundtracked by a fitting, but surprising song choice: “Who Let the Dogs Out” by Baha Men.

“Is the hashtag #DogsOnRoyalVisits a thing?!” the caption asked. “For #InternationalDogDay here are just some we've said hello to on the road this year.”

While “Who Let the Dogs Out” was the perfect choice for this video, it's hard for us to imagine Prince William jamming out to this song. However, it did come out a year before the prince started his undergraduate studies at the University of St Andrews. Maybe this was the soundtrack of his gap year?

While we couldn't get over the prince's comical song choice, fellow royal followers showed their love for the post in the comments. One user wrote, “Ahh love this!! Please make it a royal tradition.” Another added, “Yes, we love this hashtag. [clapping emoji] #dogsonroyalvisits.”

In addition to their many encounters with dogs during royal visits, the Prince and Princess of Wales have their own pup—a cocker spaniel named Orla. The furry friend was given to the couple as a gift from Princess Catherine's brother, James.
