Being the royal aficionados that we are, we know that members of the British royal family have cheeky nicknames for each other. For example, we know that Prince William is often called “Will,” “Wombat” and “Babe” behind closed doors. But apparently, the Prince of Wales has a secret nickname that we didn’t know.

On January 11, per The Mirror, the prince, 41, met with former rugby players Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield at the Headingley Stadium in Leeds, England. The Prince of Wales congratulated the talented athletes on their continued efforts to raise awareness and funds for Motor Neurone Disease, a condition Burrow was diagnosed with in 2019.

During their convo, William jokingly referenced Burrow’s recent podcast episode featuring Mike Tindall (Will’s in-law who is married to his cousin, Zara). Apparently during the episode, Tindall revealed the father of three’s secret nickname: One-Pint Willy.

“It was you who got the nicknames out of him,” the prince said to Burrow, according to The Mirror. “He apologized to me about that. When I saw him, I said, 'Mike, when you're not going to mention your nicknames doesn't mean you mention mine, it's not fair.’ I’m sure it’s quite fun with Mike.”

A few weeks back, Tindall, 45, appeared on Burrow’s new podcast series, Seven, and shared that the future king is often called “One-Pint Willy” because he’s “not the best of drinkers.”

Tindall continued, “Coming from a sport [rugby] where it is built on the social aspect and a couple of beers being sunk quite often. That is one I will definitely give away for the Prince of Wales. One-Pint Willy. It’s out there now, sorry, sir.” Zara, who also made a brief cameo on the podcast, told her husband, “You’re in so much trouble!”
