Prince William’s facial hair was the low-key breakout star of 2024. Although his daughter, Princess Charlotte, doesn’t approve of his new beard, I don’t think it’s going anywhere.
Today, the Prince of Wales, 42, arrived in Estonia for a two-day royal tour without his wife, Kate Middleton. He kicked off the trip by meeting with Alar Karis (aka the President of Estonia) to discuss official business. Per usual, Prince William’s now-signature scruff was on full display.
Prince William was wearing a tailored navy blue suit with a white shirt and light blue tie. His beard was visible but well-maintained, featuring clean edges and a moderate length that looked scruffy (but not *too* scruffy).
The Prince of Wales shared a video on Instagram documenting his arrival. The caption read, “A pleasure to meet the President of Estonia, Alar Karis, and recognise the strong historic link between our countries. Thank you for the warm welcome!”
The royal family announced Prince William's trip to Estonia earlier this month. While there, Prince William will meet with Alar Karis (aka the President of Estonia), visit a school that was founded by the Ministry of Education and Research of Estonia and fulfill his role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Mercian Regiment.
The royal tour marked Prince William’s first-ever trip to Estonia. However, he’s not the first British royal to visit the European country. In fact, his uncle Prince Edward just returned from the country last month. (FYI, the Duke of Edinburgh holds a similar role to Prince Willam as the Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Dragoon Guards.)
Looks like the scruff is here to stay.
