Prince William isn't the only royal who has opted for a more eco-friendly mode of traveling. King Charles, known for his environmentalism, owns an Aston Martin DB6 convertible, which now runs on bioethanol—a type of fuel made from cheese and wine. (FYI, William and his wife, Kate Middleton, used the car after they tied the knot in 2011.)
Additionally, in 2018, the king purchased an electric car, the Jaguar I-Pace, for personal use. However, the car is heading to auction later this month.
The newly surfaced video of Prince William riding his scooter comes just a few days after he attended the Breakthrough Energy Summit, an event that honors global climate leaders who are working toward a clean energy future. In his speech, he said, "Today, we celebrate the innovators, entrepreneurs and optimists, as well as the allies and investors, providing the necessary support along their journey to scale. Together, we will create a sustainable future for generations to come."
Kudos to the prince for doing his part.
