The British royal family recently revealed that Prince William and Prince Harry will not walk next to each other at Prince Philip’s funeral. Although the palace claims that the decision has nothing to do with their rumored rift, this new information is making us think otherwise.
Per Just Jared, in addition to announcing the procession order, Buckingham Palace shared details about the seating chart for St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The announcement confirmed our worst fears: Prince William and Prince Harry won’t sit together at the funeral.
Instead, Prince William will watch the ceremony alongside Peter Phillips (Princess Anne’s son), who will also walk between the brothers during the procession behind Prince Philip’s casket. On the other hand, Prince Harry will sit next to David Armstrong-Jones (AKA the Earl of Snowdon).
The 15-person procession will be led by two of Prince Philip’s children, Prince Charles and Princess Anne. Other participants include Prince Edward, Prince Andrew, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence (Princess Anne’s husband) and the Earl of Snowdon (son of the late Princess Margaret).
