Triple threat alert
This week, Prince William hosted a ceremony at Windsor Castle where he handed out awards for Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE), which is an order of chivalry that recognizes charitable work.
One of the recipients was Non Stanford, a retired triathlon athlete who won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games. After the ceremony, she shared details about her conversation with Prince William and revealed that it revolved around Prince George.
“He was telling me how George has been doing triathlon at school,” Stanford said, according to Hello! magazine.
“There is also a gentleman who now works for William, has done a bit of triathlon and has been giving George advice about putting talcum powder in his shoes,” she continued. “George has been sharing his talc with his classmates, and they are all excited about these tips.”
As Hello! magazine points out, talcum powder reduces slippage and chafing. This is key during a triathlon, which combines running, swimming and cycling.
Prince George recently returned to class at Lambrook school after a two-week break. His dad and his mom, Kate Middleton, paused their official duties to spend uninterrupted time with the kids. Although we don’t know details about their break schedule, we wouldn’t be surprised if it included sports for Prince George.
