Just a few days after the British royal family announced that they will be postponing some public engagements because of the upcoming U.K. general election, Prince William stepped out with his oldest son, Prince George, to attend the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday, May 25.

As the royal father-son duo watched Manchester City and Manchester United face off against each other from the stands, the pair looked quite snazzy in their coordinating ensembles. In a photo snapped by U.K. photographer Justin Tallis, the Prince of Wales, 41, sported his signature navy blue suit with a red, white and blue striped tie. Meanwhile, Prince George, 10, looked like the future king’s mini-me in a matching blue suit, a white collared shirt and tie.

According to People, Prince William (who is the president of the Football Association) awarded the trophy to the winning team, which was Manchester United. FYI, the Manchester United team won with a final score of 2-1.

In a series of photos posted on the Prince and Princess of Wales’s Instagram page, Prince William can be seen walking onto the soccer field to award Manchester United with the Emirates FA Cup. The caption read, “Congratulations @manchesterunited, a great way to end the season! An honor presenting this historic trophy to the winning side at Wembley today [trophy emoji].”

As I mentioned before, this latest appearance comes shortly after the royal family confirmed they will be adjusting their summer engagement schedule to accommodate the U.K. general election, which will take place on July 4.

Last week, a spokesperson from Buckingham Palace revealed that the royal family sends their “sincere apologies to any of those who may be affected as a result” of the schedule change. However, it was confirmed that some members of the royal fam will attend the ceremony for the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings, which is set to take place sometime in June.
