He is a proud father of three, after all

Prince William is a proud father of three, so naturally, the six-foot-three royal has a few trademark dad moves up his sleeve.

Earlier this week, the Prince of Wales returned to RAF Valley in Anglesey, North Wales, where he served as an RAF search and rescue pilot for three years. Per Hello Magazine!, the royal prince returned to the base as the newly appointed Royal Honorary Air Commodore—a position given to him by his dad, King Charles, last August.

While there, the future king met some young well-wishers who were with their parents, and that’s when he brought out the big guns: his go-to parenting move when conversing with children, of course.

In the photo below, the 42-year-old prince places his hands on his knees and bends down at eye level to talk to a young boy, who was eager to talk to the royal. This particular move of speaking on the same plane and with plenty of eye contact creates a safe and comfortable environment for the child to talk freely.

This parenting trick has been used by Prince William and his other half, Princess Catherine, who has used the tried and true move on countless occasions. (Even Duchess Sophie has used the move a few times.)

But this was not the only photo taken of the prince during his latest appearance. In a stunning photo taken by royal photographer Chris Jackson, royal fans can see Prince William’s striking profile. As he turns his head to the right, the future king appears extremely stoic while wearing a suit jacket, a white collared shirt and tie.

Sounds like it was an eventful day for the prince.
