All eyes have been on King Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, ever since they embarked on their historic royal tour of Australia and Samoa. With all the new portraits and haunting photos, I almost forgot about Prince William and Kate Middleton, who have flown under the radar for the past few days. As in, they haven’t posted on Instagram, they haven’t been spotted in public—nothing. Before the inevitable rumors circulate, you should know there’s a valid reason for their temporary silence on social media.

You see, the king’s trip to Australia is a *really* big deal because it marked the monarch's first visit to the country since becoming head of state. So, the Prince and Princess of Wales are probably trying to minimize distractions so the focus can be on King Charles and Queen Camilla during this historic moment.
It seems that no matter what they do, Prince William and Princess Catherine are constantly talked about by the media. Especially now that the Princess of Wales has completed her chemotherapy treatment, everything she does is headline-making news. As a result, they unintentionally steal the attention away from other matters—like the royal tour of Australia.

I’m not saying that Prince William and Princess Catherine will refrain from posting on social media or being seen in public until the conclusion of the king’s trip. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if they continue to maintain a low profile, so King Charles can have his 15 seconds days of fame.
