Early this Friday morning, Prince William took to social media to share an exciting announcement and a rare personal statement.

The message appeared on Instagram after London’s Air Ambulance Charity official social media account posted photos of first responders and volunteers. The charity post included an image of paramedics in conversation with the Prince of Wales. The post’s announcement wrote, “London, you did it...We are thrilled to announce we have passed our #UpAgainstTime appeal target of £15 million to replace our helicopters and keep them flying for years to come.”

Thrilled about the accomplishment, Prince William shared the Instagram post to the royal account, even adding his own personal message, which reads, “Fantastic news! This is going to have a life-saving impact. A huge thank you to everyone who donated. W.”

The critical goal allows London’s Air Ambulance Charity to replace first-response helicopters, ensuring the best equipment and life-saving measures. In the charity’s continued statement, they recognized the heavy involvement of Prince William—who's been a patron of the charity since 2024—writing, “We would also like to thank our Patron, The Prince of Wales, who has supported our appeal throughout—both publicly and privately. He has continued to champion our crucial work in delivering life-saving treatment across the capital throughout our appeal.”

Here’s to many more W’s, W.
