We *Finally* Have a Confirmed Location for Prince William’s Third Annual Earthshot Prize Awards

Last year, Prince William, 40, and his wife Kate Middleton, 41, traveled across the pond to attend the second annual Earthshot Prize Awards in Boston, Massachusetts. And now, the exact location for this year’s award ceremony has finally been revealed.

This year, the environmental award ceremony is heading to Asia. For the first time ever, the Earthshot Prize Awards (created by the Prince of Wales) will take place in Singapore on November 7, 2023.

Hannah Jones, the CEO of the Earthshot Prize, personally told People that the royal prince is “excited” to have the awards show held in Southeast Asia. “I think he and we are all very excited to be in Asia. We think it’s a real opportunity to spotlight what countries around the region are doing, what people are doing,” she revealed to the outlet.

This week, the official Instagram account dedicated to the awards show announced the exciting news on their profile.

Alongside a montage video featuring beautiful camera shots of Singapore, Prince William’s voice can be heard saying in the background, “It’s incredible what we humans can build. We often forget that it comes with a cost. We can create a different future—a better future. But, only if we reach for it now.”

Toward the end of the video, there is a huge banner that pops up and says: “The Earthshot Prize: Singapore 2023.”

Hailed as one of the most “prestigious environment prizes in history,” Prince William created the initiative back in 2020 to fight against climate change. Last December, the winners of the 2022 Earthshot Prize were chosen and the Prince of Wales awarded the recipients over $6 million dollars to fund their innovative environmental projects.

See you soon, Singapore!
