This Is the Star-Studded Lineup That Will Perform at Prince William’s Earthshot Prize Awards

Prince William's annual Earthshot Prize Awards are right around the corner, and he's certainly bringing the wow factor when it comes to this year's lineup of musical guests.

The 2022 Earthshot Prize Awards will feature major performers like Grammy winning siblings Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, along with Chloe x Halle, Annie Lennox and Ellie Goulding. The lineup was announced early this morning, November 28, on Twitter, from the official Earthshot Prize account.

“Today we unveil the incredible line-up of hosts, presenters and performers for the Earthshot Prize 2022!” the caption said, along with a video featuring pictures of the A-list guests. “Excited to meet this year's line-up? #EarthshotBoston2022.”

The Earthshot Prize Awards were founded by the Prince of Wales back in 2020, as a way to recognize individuals who are finding “solutions to the world’s greatest environmental problems.”

For ten years, Prince William will slowly disseminate $65 million to recipients whose work and research is helping to “repair the Earth.”

Last year, the five winners were announced in late October, with each receiving $1.4 million for their innovative environmental projects.

This year, the ceremony will take place in Boston, Massachusetts, at the MGM Music Hall. Prince William revealed the location back in July, with a video where he said, “In 2022, we’re back and bringing Earthshot to the U.S.A., where we’ll award the next five winners of the Prize.”

It seems the Prince of Wales is giving the Oscars a run for their money with his star-studded guest list. Besides the impressive roster of musical performers, the presenters will include Rami Malek, Catherine O'Hara, Clara Amfo, Daniel Dae Kim, David Attenborough and Shailene Woodley. As a special bonus, the Princess of Wales will also be handing out one of the prizes.

The 2022 Earthshot Prize Awards will take place on Friday, December 2. The ceremony will then be broadcast on PBS.org and on the PBS app at 2:00 p.m. EST on December 5.

We can always count on Prince William to put on a showstopping event.
