Prince William Uses Kate Middleton's Favorite Parenting Move During Holiday Outing

In the first pic, the prince is all smiles as he engages with a young couple, and in the second, he's using his wife's familiar move: bending down to meet the young boy's eye level as they chat. (FYI, this common parenting move allows adults to speak on an equal playing field and establish more eye contact, which creates a more comfortable environment for the kids.)

In yet another snap, the prince is seen using the same move as he distributes small presents to the children.

You might recall seeing Princess Catherine practice this move on several occasions in the past—like when she traveled to Scotland in 2022 and greeted a group of kids at the University of Glasgow.

Also, in 2023, both the Prince and Princess of Wales showed off their solid parenting skills when they spoke with children at the Grange Pavilion in honor of the U.K.'s Black History Month. The pair bent down in a similar fashion, with their hands on their knees, proving they're totally in sync.

Prince William's visit to the Mercian Regiment marked his third holiday event. He previously attended a Christmas lunch hosted by the charity The Passage and Kate Middleton's annual Together at Christmas carol service in London.
