Prince William Vid Goes Viral After Young Boy Doesn’t Recognize Him

It’s not too often that Prince William, 41, doesn’t get recognized when he’s out in public because, well, he is a member of the British royal family after all. However, that wasn’t the case recently when the Prince of Wales met a young boy who didn’t have the slightest idea who William was—and the royal reacted in the best possible way.

In the new viral video posted by the TikTok account The Royal Watcher, Prince William bends down to talk to the little boy who asks the royal, “How long until we are going to be able to see Prince William?”

But the prince doesn’t reveal his identity to the young boy and plays along instead, saying to him, “We don’t know where he is! Have you seen him yet? Where do you think he is? Did he go that way?”

While still playing along, William asks the boy with a smile, “Do you know what my name is?” to which the boy responds, “Uh... the government?” The father of three can’t help but laugh.

“I’m not the government. I look like the government, do I? You dress like this, we all do,” William says while looking down at his navy blue suit. “My name’s William too.”

That’s when the child realizes he has been talking to Prince William the entire time. “You’re Prince William?” the boy asks in complete shock, and the prince nods. “That’s Prince William, Mummy!” Before the prince leaves, he pats the boy on the head and says, “So nice to meet you guys.”

According to People, Prince William met the young boy during his surprise visit to Windsor on May 7. Joined by his wife, Kate Middleton, 41, the couple had a chance to talk with other royal supporters on the day of King Charles’s coronation ceremony.
