Taylor Swift isn’t the only celebrity who has shown a major shift in body language. Let’s take Prince William, for example. The Prince of Wales, 42, appears far more relaxed than he did a few months ago, likely due in large part to the fact that his wife Kate Middleton’s major health announcement that her cancer is in remission. In fact, his latest outing speaks volumes about his current mindset.
I Noticed Something Interesting About Prince William’s Body Language at His Latest Royal Outing
There's a noticeable difference
This week, Prince William visited a charity called Centrepoint, which offers housing, counseling and other resources to youths who are experiencing homelessness. While there, the royal received a tour of the facility and showed off his athletic skills by participating in a boxing lesson. I immediately noticed a shift in the Prince of Wales’s body language when compared to other royal outings.
During his visit to Centrepoint, the Prince of Wales was noticeably comfortable, especially while chatting with charity members and staff. The royal was seen laughing, smiling and cracking jokes when appropriate. Although his body language appeared at ease, I noticed that his facial expressions and hand gestures were slightly toned down.
For example, Prince William previously attended a soccer game with his oldest son, Prince George, 11. The duo were seen making exaggerated facial expressions throughout the game and engaging with other fans around them. But during the recent outing at Centrepoint, Prince William was expressive but noticeably subdued.
Perhaps Prince William feels most comfortable around his family and, therefore, can be totally himself when they’re near. Or maybe the royal didn’t want to overdo it during what was supposed to be an inspiring visit. Regardless, it felt like an appropriate shift given the charity’s mission.
