Prince William and Kate Middleton’s youngest child, Prince Louis, is looking more grown up by the day.
Today, the royal family shared a slideshow on social media in honor of Prince Louis’s 5th birthday on April 23.
Prince Louis Looks So Grown Up in New Photos for His 5th Birthday

The pics (which were taken by Millie Pilkington) show Princess Catherine pushing Prince Louis in a wheelbarrow. The young royal looks so grown up in both photos, but the second one offers a rare closeup of Prince Louis.
The caption read, “Someone’s turning 5 tomorrow… A very happy birthday to Prince Louis.”
Birthday photos have become an annual tradition for the Wales family. Last year, when Prince Louis turned 4, Prince William and Princess Catherine shared never-before-seen portraits on social media. One slideshow showed Prince Louis playing on a deserted beach. The caption read, “4 years old tomorrow!”
The next day, the royal family shared another slideshow with more pictures from Prince Louis’s beach photoshoot. The caption read, “Thank you for all the lovely birthday messages for Prince Louis today! [cake emoji].”
Last year’s shots were taken by Princess Catherine, who has frequently shared her love of photography and has given us impressive photos of her kids in the past. The Princess of Wales previously revealed that Prince Louis’s favorite song is—drumroll, please—“Happy Birthday.” (#Fitting)
